Chellaram Shipping (HK) Ltd. entered the dredging market in 2007 with the purchase of a New Building 4,500 cbm TSHD “Darya Manthan”.

This diversification is part of Chellaram Shipping’s drive into other branches of shipping. The diversification is based on their extensive experience in shipping and uses the strengths of the Company’s shipping background to the maximum.

Since entering the Dredging field, Chellaram Shipping has successfully completed a number of projects – see details under “Projects”. These projects were performed exceeding the expectations of the Charterers and the ports, leading to their interest to re-engage “Darya Manthan”.

Chellaram Shipping currently has on order two New Building Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers of 5,500 cbm hopper capacity.
