Mr. Sandeep Malankar

Director

Mr Malankar joined Chellaram Shipping India in 2003, with about 20 years of seagoing and shore-based experience. He is responsible for the complete Manning Operations of the Chellship Fleet.

Mr. Satish Kadam

Director

Mr Satish Kadam has a total seagoing experience of 23 years, including as a Chief Engineer for 13 years. He joined Chellaram Shipping India in 2008.

Capt. Sheriff D’Costa

General Manager

Capt Sheriff D’Costa joined Chellaram Shipping India in 2009, having 16 years of seagoing experience. He is actively involved in the recruitment and placement of Masters & Deck Officers. Capt Sheriff also has responsibilities in the seafarer’s Training Department.

Capt. Mahendra Kedare

Senior Manager – Manning & Training

Capt Mahendra Kedare started his sea career as a cadet in 1992. He started his shore career in 2007 by teaching Pre-Sea Courses for Deck Cadets. He also sailed onboard as Training Officer and conducted On-Board training courses. He joined Chellaram Shipping India in 2012.

Mr. Mangesh Hadkar

Senior Superintendent – Manning & Training

Mr. Mangesh Hadkar joined the company’s fleet as Second Engineer in 1999 and was promoted to Chief Engineer in 2002. Mr Mangesh joined the Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong office as Technical Superintendent in 2009. After a brief tenure afloat in the Chellship fleet, he joined Chellaram Shipping India as Senior Superintendent – Manning and Training in 2011.

Mr. Ajit Dandekar

Chief Accountant

Mr. Ajit Dandekar joined Chellaram Shipping India in 2000 with 6 years past experience and was appointed to his present position in 2021.

Mr. Vishal Khurana

Director and Chief Executive

Mr. Vishal Khurana has served the Company, both onboard and ashore, for 40 years since starting his career in 1982 as a 3rd Engineer on the Company’s managed Fleet. He was transferred to the Hong Kong office in 1987 and took charge as Chief Executive in 1999.

Capt. Rajiv Kumar Tetarbe

Commercial Director

Capt Rajiv Tetarbe sailed in the Company’s managed fleet from 1984 to 1990. He took command in 1991, and after working ashore in Dubai for seven years, Capt Tetarbe re-joined the Chellaram Shipping’s Hong Kong office as Head of the Commercial Department. His responsibilities include dealing with sale and purchase of the vessels and placement of various marine insurances for the Fleet.

Mr. Vikas Kumar

Technical Director

Mr. Vikas Kumar joined Chellaram Shipping, Hong Kong in 1999 as Head of the Technical Department. He has over 40 years of sea-going and shore-based experience.

Capt. Amit Bhargava

Deputy Director

Capt. Bhargava joined the Company’s managed fleet in 1990, took command in 1997 and joined the Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong Office in 1999. He has responsibilities and extensive experience in the Commercial and QHSE Departments.

Mr. Aluri Rama Krishna

Deputy Director Technical

Mr. Aluri started his seafaring career in 1990 and has sailed in the Company’s managed fleet as Chief Engineer from 2002 to 2004. Mr Aluri worked as a Technical Superintendent in a reputed Ship Management Company in Hong Kong for seven years before joining the Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong office in 2012.

Mr. Deepak.P.Dongre

Deputy General Manager

Mr. Dongre started his career in the Company’s managed fleet in 1999 as a Second Engineer and was promoted to Chief Engineer in 2002. Mr Dongre joined the Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong Office in 2011

Mr. Mayur Khaneja

Deputy General Manager

Mr. Mayur Khaneja started his seagoing career in 2002 after graduating from DMET with a degree in Marine Engineering. After becoming the Chief Engineer onboard, he pursued an MBA and went on to work as a Technical Superintendent for a reputable Ship Management Company in Hong Kong in 2014. Mr Mayur joined the Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong office as Fleet Manager in 2021.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar

Senior Vessel Manager

With 13 years of seagoing experience, including as Chief Engineer, Mr Rajesh was a Technical Superintendent with a reputed Ship Management Company in Hong Kong for five years before joining Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong office in 2017.

Mr. Abhinav Shrey

Technical Superintendent

Mr. Shrey started sailing in 2005 after completing his Marine Engineering. After working as Technical Superintendent with a reputed Ship Management Company in London for two years, Mr Shrey joined the Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong office in 2018.

Mr. Arun Kumar

Senior Vessel Manager

After completing Marine Engineering from DMET, Mr Arun joined the Company’s managed fleet as fifth engineer in 2005 and became a Chief engineer in 2016. After working as Technical Superintendent with a reputed Ship Management Company in Hong Kong for four years Mr Arun joined Chellaram Hong Kong office in 2020.

Capt. Thomas Zacharia

Marine Manager

Capt. Thomas started his seafaring career in 1995 and took his Command in 2009. He worked as a Marine Superintendent with a reputed Ship Management Company in Hong Kong for three years before joining the Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong office in 2021. He has responsibilities in the QHSE and Operations Departments. Capt Thomas also holds a Master Of Laws (LLM) degree in International Trade & Maritime Law from the UK.

Mr. Anthony Chau

Accounts Manager

Mr. Chau joined Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong as an Accountant in 1995 and was appointed to his present position as Accounts Manager in 2005.

Mr. Daniel Wong

Senior Operations Manager

Mr. Daniel Wong started his shipping career upon graduation from the University of London in 1984 and attended the prestigious shipping course – Anatomy of Shipping at the University of Cambridge in 1991. After serving in the Operations Department of reputed companies, Mr Daniel joined Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong as Operations Manager in 2010.

Mr.Ivan Leung

Purchase Manager

Mr Ivan Leung joined Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong as a Technical Officer in 2004 and was promoted to his present position as Assistant Superintendent – Technical Support in 2014.

Mr. G V Prasad

Vessel Manager

Mr Prasad started his seafaring career in 1995 and has sailed in the Company’s managed fleet as Chief Engineer from 2008 to 2023. He joined the Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong office as Technical Superintendent in 2023.

Capt. Ashish Mokashi

Superintendent – Manning & Training

Capt. Ashish Mokashi joined the company’s managed fleet as a Chief Officer in 1998 and took command in 2000. After having sailed as Master on board Company’s managed fleet from 2000 to 2022 he joined Chellaram Shipping India as onboard Training Superintendent in 2022. He joined Chellaram Shipping India’s Mumbai office in June 2023 as Training and Manning Superintendent.

Mr Rakesh Krishnan

Vessel Manager

Mr. Rakesh Krishnan embarked on his seagoing career in 2009 after graduating in Mechanical Engineering and completing a one-year GME training program. He earned a promotion to Chief Engineer in 2018 and in 2020, joined a reputable Ship Management Company in Hong Kong as a Technical Superintendent. In 2023, Mr. Rakesh joined the Chellaram Shipping Hong Kong office as Technical Superintendent.

Mr Vikas Salvi

Superintendent – Manning & Training

Mr. Vikas Salvi has a total seagoing experience of 22 years, including 12 years as a Chief Engineer. He had earlier sailed on the company’s managed fleet as a Chief Engineer. Mr. Salvi has also worked on new ship building projects in South Korea, Dubai and India. He joined Chellaram Shipping India’s Mumbai office in November 2023 as Manning & Training Superintendent.

Chellship conferred Ship Owner of the Year Award in 2021 & 2022 Contract duration of the ratings reduced. Substantial Wage revision for Officers from August 2023 & for Ratings from February 2024 Free Internet provided on all ships, along with Netflix and Amazon Prime
